How CheckRoute verifies businesses
A look at our verification process and how it helps build a safer, more trusted marketplace.

Why verification comes first
Every business on CheckRoute is checked before it can list. Customers book appointments, buy products and view properties with people they have often never met, so the badge beside a business name has to mean something.
Verification happens at two levels: the business itself, and each Network it wants to work in. A pharmacy and a property agent need different evidence, so each Network has its own requirements.
What a business submits
A business registers in the Business Portal, chooses its Networks and uploads the documents each one asks for. These are reviewed by the CheckRoute verification team, not checked automatically.
- Registration documents for the business (for example its CAC certificate)
- Licences and permits that the chosen Network requires, such as healthcare or pharmacy licences in the Care Network
- Branch addresses and contact details that customers will rely on
Review, decisions and renewals
Reviewers can approve an application, ask for more information or decline it, and every decision is recorded. Approved businesses receive the verified badge and their verification for each Network is shown separately.
Documents expire. When a licence is close to its expiry date the business is asked to renew it, so a badge does not outlive the evidence behind it.
Listings and reviews are checked too
Verification is not a one-off. Property listings, listings in regulated categories such as healthcare, and a new business's first listings are checked by a CheckRoute moderator before they go live. Ratings and reviews can only be left after a completed booking or order, so they reflect real experiences.
If something looks wrong, anyone can report a listing or a review. Reports go to the CheckRoute team for action.
Put it into practice.
